The Listener

Set in late 19th century Ireland, Fiona loses her mother at an early age and is raised by her grandmother, the local healer. Through her she learns healing skills as well as how to bond to her acolyte, a stubborn terrier called Farley. Being able to hear Farley’s thoughts assists Fiona as she learns to listen to other animals, befriending them as a healer. In her hour of need, she can only hope that the animals remember that friendship.
